    Windows security has exclamation symbol


    Hello, I noticted that these days Windows security in tray has exclamation symbol on and when I hover mouse on it, it says - "Windows security - actions recommended". However when I double click on it and open Windows security I see that everything is okay and everything has a green check mark. Is it bug or why I have this exclamation yellow mark in the tray?This is how it looks:

    Hi Paul,

    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    We would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to run hardware troubleshooter and let us know if that helps.

    Type "Troubleshooting" in the
    Windows Search bar and press Enter.

    1. Click on "View All" in the top left corner.
    2. This will display the list of troubleshooters which are built-in in the computer. You can click on Hardware and Devices from the list and you can run the troubleshooter.

    Also I would suggest to check if there are any update pending with regard to drivers and to do so, please follow steps mentioned below.

    1. Search for Device Manager in
      Windows       search bar.
    2. Click on Device Manager.
    3. Check if there Yellow Exclamation Point in the list of drivers.

    Make sure Windows is up to date.

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    That made me so facepalm. Some people have absolutely no clue. I hope they don't take you for granted with all this you're doing for them.

    SonicWall is a good security product, so Mindweaver's suggestion sounds like a good one and should make for a rather bigger baby step. Let's hope they take it.
