    Windows Security - How to set default threat action to Remove


    When a notification of a threat appears, I launch the Windows Security application. If I click the down-arrow on each of the threats shown, the default action is to Quarantine. So, I have to click Remote on each one before clicking Start Actions. Is there a way to set the default action to Remove, so I can just click the Start Actions button to remove the threats from my computer?

    Windows Security Cannot Remove Threats!

    I have updated the new version of Windows 10 which is 2004, Then,

    "First Problem":

    the Windows Security showed me an issue first in (App & Browser Control) which is (Potentially Unwanted App Found) and when i click on (Review) it gets me nothing!

    "Second Problem": Windows Security shows me that there's threats and when i click on Start Action nothing happens and the program keeps showing the threats for me and doesn't remove those threats.

    Please Help!

    Windows Security not removing threats, offline scan not working

    Today I got a security alert from my Internet provider notifying me of an IP reputation attack. Finding this suspicious, I immediately ran a full scan using Windows Defender and found a handful of exploits and a TrojanDropper have somehow gotten onto my
    device. Windows Defender tells me every threat on my device is "severe."

    I've tried using the "take action" button multiple times. It runs for multiple hours on end without removing the threats. A few times its even given me an error, prompting me to restart the action.

    Frustrated with this, I took the forums and found a lot of people suggesting an offline scan with Windows Defender.

    I attempted this, but when I do, nothing happens. It warns me that my device will restart, I hit okay. Windows asks for permission to run it, I grant the permission. Nothing.

    I've also tried running the Windows Defender Offline scan from the powershell, but I get a permission denied error even though I'm the administrator on my device.

    Both my system and Windows Defender are up to date. I do not have any third party antivirus installed on my device, nor have I ever had any third party antivirus installed on my device.

    I find this incredibly frustrating and am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what my next step should be in removing these threats from my system.

    setting for default action when replacing file

    Is there a windows 10 setting that changes the default action when a file by the same name replaces it? Currently my PC appends (1) or (2) etc which causes me to have to do a lot of extra steps.
