    Windows Security icon shows a warning, but nothing appears when I open it


    I recently installed Windows 11 in two partitions, one for working and the other one for personal use.Then I started to configure the work Windows and after installing all the things I need I realized that the Windows Security system tray icon was showing a warning.Luckly, this time, I was able to fix the problem. The problem was that the Memory integration option under the Core isolation section was set to Off. But every time I enabled it and restarted, a BSOD would occur. After some research, I found that this was caused by the Collaborative Processor Performance Control CPPC option presen

    Remove Linux Desktop Icons

    I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

    I appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down the issue and to provide you better assistance.

    • Does this issue persist in Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer both?
    • Are you connected with any VPN connection?


    This problem can occur if the client computer's clock is set so that the date/time is later than the expiry date of the web server's SSL certificate.
    I suggest you to check and verify the Date and time are set properly. If issue persist, kindly perform the below given steps and check if it works.

    • In Windows Internet Explorer, click Continue to this website (not recommended).

      A red Address Bar and a certificate warning appear.
    • Click the Certificate Error button to open the information window.
    • Click View Certificates, and then click Install Certificate.
    • On the warning message that appears, click Yes to install the certificate.

    Reg/batch to disable "Open File - Security Warning"


    That's ok. To help clarify for everyone, which registry editing did you use and apply?

    In addition, what error message are you trying to get rid of?

    If you mean for the "Open-File Security Warning" message, then you could use the download in step 5 of OPTION ONE in the tutorial below to disable it.
