Windows 10: Windows Security icon yellow warning with exclamation point without obvious problems

After updating to the latest version of Windows 10 Home, the Windows Security icon on the task bar turned yellow with an exclamation point. Clicking the icon took me to Windows Security Home with the heading Security at a glance. Everything was green. I searched the internet for a solution and didn't find one. I kept exploring the Windows Security panels until I found the fix.I had to select 'App and Browser Control' on the left panel to find that 'Reputation-based protection' was turned off. Once I turned it on the Windows Security icon turned from yellow with an exclamation point to gre

Warning Message of Yellow exclamation Mark on OneDrive Icon

Hi,

I have a yellow exclamation mark on my OneDrive icon (the OneDrive folder in File Explore), with Windows 8.1. All I found is

this document, which says "If you see a yellow warning triangle over your OneDrive or or OneDrive for work or school icon, it means your account needs attention. Select the icon to see the warning message
displayed in the activity center." When I select the icon in File Explore, it opens/expands to show the files and folders in it. How do I see the warning message? How do I get to the activity center?

BTW, I asked this long time ago but didn't get an answer: I have two OneDrive folders in File Explore. They have different icons--one is blue clouds, the other is a folder. None of them looks like the
icons in the linked document. They have the same content but I don't know there are two of them, nor do I know how to get rid of one. Now both of them have the yellow exclamation mark.

Edit: Was looking everywhere for this fix. Go to virus and threat protection, click on the arrow next to "windows defender antivirus options" and turn periodic scanning on. A pop up will appear, click yes and then you'll see more options appear. Scroll down the list and you'll see an icon with a red X, you should also see a dismiss button next to it. Click on dismiss to get rid of that yellow exclamation mark. You can then turn periodic scanning off. The same pop-up will appear. Click yes, and then you're all set.

 

Windows Defender Security Centre warning icon (yellow triangle with exclamation mark)





Hi, can you please tell me how to suppress the
yellow triangle with an exclamation mark that appears in the bottom right-hand corner of the Windows Defender Security Centre system tray icon (but I only want it suppressed for the
Family Options recommendations).

I use Trend Micro for my Virus & Threat Protection, and everything else has a nice green tick mark on it (and it says "no action needed") except for Family Options which doesn't have a nice green tick and it says "Manage how your family uses their devices".
Consequently I end up with a yellow triangle and exclamation mark in the system tray icon for Windows Defender Security Centre which bothers me a lot because I've done all I can to satisfy it so I really believe I should have nice green ticks on everything,
or at least the Windows Defender Security Centre system tray icon should be without the warning triangle and exclamation mark.





I've had a look at tweaking the notification settings, but I can't find anything specific to the Family Options part I'd like taken care of.

Can you help with any additional checks or advice?
