    Windows security issue on hybrid gpu mode


    Hello, I am using Lenova Legion 5 15IAH7H. I am using Windows 11 and also my system is up to date, both from windows update and drivers` side. A while ago, yellow triangleactions recommended icon appeared on icon tray on top of windows security application. I was unable to open it from icon tray and from settings page. What I found out is, I can open it right after I open my laptop or I can not. Also recently I discovered that, when I was using dGPU or iGPU mode I did not experienced anything similar and windows security was functionig well. I think it is related with hybrid gpu mode usage,

    when it proceeds to 'creating media', disconnect from the internet and should prevent issue with trying to update drivers and will advance past the 49% mark where it gets stuck

    1803 Issue: Hybrid laptop with Discrete GPU Connected to Display

    Hello,

    I am getting this message when trying to update to 1803 "Cannot uninstall App: Hybrid laptop with Discrete GPU Connected to Display" Please uninstall manually and then refresh. I am getting this on 2 Alienware 17 R4 laptops.

    I have uninstalled the amplifier program and both Intel and NVIDA graphics drivers to no avail. Any suggestions?

    No it is not in the App and Features section.

    Hybrid GPU problem?

    Hi,

    I suggest you to place the computer in Clean boot and check if you face the issue.

    How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support

    Note:
    Please go through the section: How to reset the computer to start as usual after troubleshooting with clean boot of the Kb article to boot the computer in normal startup after fixing the issue.

    If the issue persists, I suggest you to perform a SFC scan and check if it helps.

    System File Checker is a utility available in Windows 10 that checks for system file corruption. To run it:

    • Right-click (or press and hold) the Start button, then select Command Prompt (Admin).
    • Enter sfc /scannow (note the space between "sfc" and "/").
    Also make sure you have all pending Windows Updates installed on the computer.

    Keep us posted on the issue.
