Windows 10: Windows Security not able to open - with exclamation mark on taskbar icon

Hi guys,i have this recurring problem: Windows Security is not able to open - with exclamation mark on taskbar icon.I am on Windows 11.Does anyone have a working solution on this - or shares the same experience?Thankful for any hint**** moved from german to english Community ****

When you said "video", if you mean graphics card driver, I've already updated them. I've also used both the latest driver provided by the laptop manufacturer and by the graphics card manufacturer--no luck on both of them. There are many suggestions like
you've provided on the web regarding this problem but I think the problem here is not finding what is causing the exclamation mark. I think the problem is (1) Windows aligning the indication on the taskbar and the indication on the security at glance (which
pops up when pressing the windows defender icon on taskbar), and (2) if the taskbar is showing an exclamation mark, present what the reason is to the users (which Windows fails to because of the misalignment between the signs of taskbar and the security at
glance). Unless this problem is solved, I think there will be many people suggesting with different solutions and many people saying your solution doesn't work for me. -Min

 

Yellow Exclamation mark over Internet icon

Hello, I have Windows 10 pro and I am able to connect to my Router wifi without any issues and have a working internet connection. I am able to browse internet and ping my DNS server, gateway etc, no issues but there is an yellow exclamation mark over the
wifi internet icon in notification area. When I take my cursor there, popup says Limited connection next to my SSID!! When I click on it, below wifi icon, tag says "no internet". Earlier this yellow mark used to appear when there was no internet access. What
all troubleshooting I have done:

• Updated the wifi card drivers.
• Checked for any firewall/security software conflicts.
• Upgraded the router firmware and also used another router.
• Changed the DNS from ISP to google to other open dns ip addresses.
• Deleted and recreated wifi profile.

Please suggest what else I can do and if I am missing something. Thanx

 

Exclamation mark problem on windows defender icon, taskbar - will the problem be resolved on next Windows 10 update?

On Windows 10 taskbar, there is an exclamation mark next to windows defender icon. When I click the icon, all security at glance are checked in green with no exclamation mark. If everything is checked in green in the security at glance, the windows defender
icon on taskbar should also be checked in green. I think the current version of the Windows can't make this alignment which seemingly is simple. Recently I've installed (also reset) Windows on multiple laptops and this happens on many laptops of different
manufacturers. Is this something that will be addressed in the next Windows update? There seems to be no remarks on the web on whether this will be addressed in the next version of Windows 10.
