Windows 10: Windows security says i have tpm 2.0 and the antivirus says i dont???

Hi windows defender says NO TPM Hardware not supported, it's activated in the bios and under TPM i can see it available as well and when i open windows security. So what is happening here? Bug is there for so long yet Microsoft does nothing about it

Windows Security says "There is no TPM available. Please check BIOS settings."

Windows Security is saying TPM isn't available, yet when I went into BIOS (Gigabyte) it says secure boot is enabled and being used. I looked some things up on Google and tried 'TPM.MSC' and it says there is no TPM available. The other thing I tried says to check DISK 0 in diskmgmt and it has the option that says TPM 2.0 is available/being used. Is Windows Security being weird or did it disable itself? I didn't have this problem yesterday that I'm aware of.

 

TPM update

Don't know if this is the right place for this thread but whatever, laptop informed me that " a firmware update is needed for you security processor (TPM)," now, i looked up what to do and from a microsoft support thing, the last step says to clear the tpm. it has a warning saying to back up my data, i would like to know what clearing the tpm does, and what measures i need to take to make sure nothing goes wrong.

 

Windows Security says "There is no TPM available. Please check BIOS settings."

I mentioned these cases earlier, they continue to hold up

• Restart the PC, give no input, just let it restart back into Windows: get the TPM warning (tried this a couple of times)
  
• Restart the PC, hit DEL to enter BIOS, then just save end exit and let Windows start: get the TPM warning
  
• Restart the PC, hit DEL to enter BIOS, go to Advanced Mode, into PCH-FW Configuration, note that it is on Enable Firmware TPM (the only other option is Enable Discrete TMP), Save & Exit, note that it says No Changes Made, let Windows start: no TPM warning
  

I'll add this one:

• Shut down the PC, then boot it up again: no TPM warning
  

A simple restart seems to lead to the TPM warning UNLESS I go into the TPM setting in BIOS, but a full shut down will remove the warning the next time I power up.
