Windows 10: Windows Security Update disabled my Roland Cam-1 Plotter Cutter

I am a owner operator in a Small sign writing business. I have 3 different computers that have all failed to function in the task I need to perform to stay Viable.Customers are expecting me to produce items on time. Windows has stopped me doing this.I received this message 17/06/2024Dear Customers, There was Windows update released last Thursday morning causing ROLAND CUTTER issues.sending the file it just flashes and makes a noise but doesn’t cut. If running Windows 10, you need to un-install the security update – KBS039211If running Windows 11, you need to un-install the security u

The most recent windows update broke my printer driver for our cutter.

I have same problem with my Roland GS-24 Vinyl cutter. If i want to use my plotter i need to remove the update Kb5039212

An issue caused by a recent Windows security update (version KB5039211) has disrupted communication between some Roland DGA drivers and their connected devices, primarily affecting cutters and engravers. As a temporary solution, Roland Care advises uninstalling this specific Windows update.

To uninstall the updates,

a. Go to Settings.

b. Select Windows Update and Security.

c. Select Update history.

d. Click Uninstall updates.

e. select the update installed - "Double-Click “Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB5039211)”

f. Click on “Yes” to uninstall.

g. Once uninstalled, restart your computer.
