    windows security updtes KB 2267602 and KB 4052623 causes the computer to stop recognicing my M Audio Plus device to use on Ableton.



    Every time security updates come out I get this issue.

    I was able to temporary solve it in the past by reintsalling windows or going to a previous image of the program using recovery but this is not practicall at all and only worked after doing it 3 or 4 times never in the first try.


    The M audio drivers ar the latest also the laptop audio drivers are the latest.

    Stop making security updates that mess up sound settings please,


    I need support on this. This updates are not available to uninstall

    I have never used Windows Defender User Interface to install definition updates. I only use VBScript to do so.

    It would be impractical for MS to have a different KB number for each new signature update, they typically issue at least two or three every day.

    If you check for updates in Windows Security it will show you the version number and creation date of your current signature update, and the date Defender last checked for updates. The latest signatures are currently version 1.309.1457.0.

    If you are still having trouble getting an update, you can download a standalone installer for the current signatures from Microsoft. They are available for different versions of Windows and in 32-bit or 64-bit. Make sure you click the appropriate link for your system.

    Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB 2267602 (Definition 1.213.6340.0) - Error 0x80070643 - Is it necessary ?

    I have Windows 10 and installed Norton Security with Backup which is effective in its job.

    Windows 10 does not allow selective installation so I get a recurrent message "Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB 2267602 (Definition 1.213.6340.0) - Error 0x80070643

    My question: 'Is it a necessary use of time to solve why Microsoft have not corrected this error?'
