Windows 10: Windows semi-freezes when I seem to watch a video for a prolonged period of time

Hi,I'm encountering this issue on my new Dell Inspiron 5510 where I noticed sometimes that when I watch something like a youtube video in fullscreen for a longer period of time maybe 30minutes+? not sure, then my windows will semi-freeze. What I mean by semi freeze is stuff like alt tabbing no longer works, when I try to adjust the volume the ui slider in the top left doesn't appear, and I can't open the start menu.The other functions on my laptop still work and don't seem to freeze - I can still watch the video, open chrome tabs, etc. But the described stuff above freezes and I don't know w

all games crash!

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.

• Do you receive any error message?
• What is the make and model of the computer?

Windows freezes when watching online videos

Please answer these question to assist you better.

• Have you installed all pending Windows updates?
• Do you get any error message?
• Do you face this issue while playing downloaded videos?

I suggest you to install all pending Windows updates and check. If the issue still persists follow next Methods.

Method 1: Run the Video playback troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Update. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Windows update.

Refer these steps:

      Press Windows key + X, select
      Control panel.
      
    • 
      Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
      
    • 
      Click on Troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

      Run Video playback.

Method 2: Uninstall Adobe flash player and reinstall latest version.
