Event ID 1 Event Record 94672 Source WSH on Windows Server 2012 R2

I'm trying to find information on how to solve event viewer Event ID 1 Event Record 94672 Source WSH on Windows Server 2012 R2. I've not been able to find any pointers as to what is generating this error. This server is used as svn repo and when these
event viewer error appears it refuses connections until the server is restarted. Any pointers will be appreciated. Thanks!

I have purchased the product key of Windows Server 2012 R2. Now the server is on Windows Server 2012 R2 Evaluation. I found a few links there they explained on how to convert from Windows Server 2012 R2 Evaluation to Windows Server 2012 R2 with valid product

Is this a correct way to do? If I follow this step, will my data be erased?

I want to avoid formatting/fresh Windows install because there are some software in the server that we do not know how to backup. We just want to get it activated now, backup will be sorted out later.

I did an upgrade from server standard evaluation to standard using the process below after I purchased a licence key from Microsoft volume
licencing software .

Run DISM /online /Set-Edition:<edition ID> /ProductKey:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX /AcceptEula, providing the edition ID
and a retail product key. The server will restart twice

The activation error occurring while am trying to put my product key
"this key didn't work please check it and try again or try different key" . Tried to do activation by phone but the installation ID is not valid. How can i activate without having to reinstall the OS again?
