    KB3216755 "Hidden" Update may fix KB3213986 problems - why no publicity about it

    So, MSFT is being prudent & cautious, themselves, looks like, & holding back on KB3217574 until they get fewer complaints. I'll extend my patience & continue my wait for fear of KB3216755 leaking bits & bytes into my lap. Thanks for the URLs.

    I'm thinking KB3216755 wasn't forced on us because of its problem. But, in case KB3217574 is also delivered only in the Catalog, I guess I'll monitor...

    The latest update -

    Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3216755)

    ( - updates to Windows 10.0.14393.726).

    CANNOT be installed via the 'approved method' using

    Settings => Update & Security => Check for Updates;

    You now have to download the update from Microsoft's Update Catalogue, use 1 Gb of workspace, and uses the
    'Windows Update Stand-Alone Installer' to install it.
