Windows 10: Windows Server 2016 SFC and DISM Scans Failed

Hi,I have issues with a Windows Server 2016 Standard server I'm currently monitoring. The issue is somehow I can't copy some files or even download any software or files from Google Chrome.When download from Chrome, it shows this statusWhen doing sfc/scannow and DISM /online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth, it shows this error insteadC:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow Beginning system scan. This process will take some time. Beginning verification phase of system scan. Verification 40% complete. Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation. C:\Windows\system32>DISM /on

Server 2016: KB4512495 will not install, DISM will not repair, SFC will not repair.

Hi, I'm having some problems with a Windows Server 2016 cumulative update: KB4512495.

Windows Server 2016, v1607, build 14393.3144

The KB fails repeatedly under Windows Update.

I downloaded the update from the Windows catalog and deployed by hand, still failed.

Event Viewer -> WindowsUpdateClient -> Operational log: lots of information messages about downloading updates, but no recorded warnings or errors.

commands tried to rectify:

DISM /online /cleanup-image /CheckHealth

result: "The Component Store is repairable"

DISM /online /cleanup-image /ScanHealth

result: "The Component Store is repairable

DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

result: error 0x800f081f: The source files could not be found

Using the original ISO from which windows was installed, ISO mounted as F:, to act as a repair source.

DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth /Source:F:\sources\install.wim /limitaccess

result: error 0x800f081f: The source files could not be found

Verify that the ISO I'm using is the correct one for this build of Windows Server:

DISM /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:F:\sources\install.wim /index:1result: Name: Windows Server 2016 Standard, Version: 10.0.14393, ServicePack Build: 0,
ServicePack Level: 0

I'd be really grateful for "next steps" advice on this constantly-failing update.

I am aware that I do not know the Service Pack level of this server. Should I try applying the latest service pack (SP2), and also obtaining an ISO of the same service-pack level to retry DISM repair?

Windows Server 2016 Updates Failing

I have a Windows server 2016 which is failing updates. this was built as a terminal server and is 'identical' (not cloned) to another terminal server which is being updated successfully

I have used the Windows update troubleshooter.

I have deleted the software distribution folder and the catroot folder.

I have used DISM and SFC to scan and verify the system, neither came up with any issues.

I have downloaded the failing updates from the Catalogue and tried a manual install.

Is there anything else I can try to get updates to install.

Can't get SFC and DISM to work anymore on Win10

Ok, can someone help me out because this crap is starting to piss me off. There was once a time when you could simply run SFC and DISM to check Windows files integrity and if there were any problems found with the local files, Windows repaired it automatically. The reason why I want to run this is because I'm getting stupendously huge amount of errors and warnings in Event Viewer, but I don't want to run refresh because it'll mess up tons of apps.

Commands I used:
sfc /scannow
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Fast forward few years and we now have glorious Windows 10. Trying to run the same tools, they find errors but stubbornly refuse to fix ANYTHING. What's the god damn point of it then?

Sfc finds issues but can't repair them and DISM constantly bitches how it can't find the source. All this used to work directly in Windows 7, but in Win 10, nothing. This was one of the best features to get OS back in good state and they go and ruin it. Because Microsoft!

Nothing worked. And they keep mentioning install.wim where my Windows image downloaded from Microsoft itself! only carries install.esd which I can't seem to use with anything.

I've also tried this tool:

Which again wants .wim file and refuses to work with esd.
