Windows 10: Windows Server 2019 Event 1508

Hi, I have a recurrent issue, I have a server which is the Broker and 3 others that are Session Host. We have users that connect to the TS server with RDP. Their profile is stored in another server. So during the session openning, the user's local profil synchronises with the one in the server. My issue ocurres in one or two session host, when the users begin to connect is that we get temporary sessions at least 2 or 3. When we go in windows event vieiwer, we get first the error 1508 which will create the errors 1515 and 1511.We tried to resolve this by limiting the number of connections

Only supported on Win10. Sorry, 8.1 users, only 4 years old, gotta go.

Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

• Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
• Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
  • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
  • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
  • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
• The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

 

Shutdown Event Tracker on Windows Server 2019

Hi all,

We've build some new servers and all have the same behavior after installing Windows updates. After the user logon Shutdown Event tracker keeps appearing.

A quick search pointed in the direction of a Windows update (KB4490481 - CU 2019-03). See

We can change this
regkey but that's a workaround, not a solution.

I want to know if I forgot something or maybe someone has solved the problem. So please share your thoughts about this.

What I did to reproduce the problem. Started with a fresh machine, WS 2019 Standard version 201911.

After installing:

• CU 2019-09 - KB4512578 > already present after the installation > logon goes fine.
• Installed CU 2020-03 - KB4538461 > reboot > no problem
• revert to the fresh installation
• SSU 2019-11 - KB4523204 > reboot > no problem
  
• Installed 2020-03 - KB4538461 > reboot> no problem
• Log off > no problem
• Reboot, with a reason > Other Unplanned > no problem
• Let the machine crash with Not My Fault> after booting > Shutdown Event Tracker is appearing, which makes sense.
• Log off > shutdown event tracker is back.
• Reboot (with a reason: Other planned) > and SET is back
• Uninstall CU 2020-03 -KB4538461 > reboot > still there
• Uninstall SSU 2019-11 - KB4523204 > not possible is required voor de computer
• Install CU 2020-05 - KB4551853 > reboot > first time logon okay, next day it's back.
• Installed SSU 2020-04 > SET still present.

So….?

It seems to be a combination of the SSU KB4523204 and CU KB4538461.

I'm still testing some scenario's but I want to see anyone has a solution or tips to test.
