Windows 10: Windows Server 2019 RDS Rdp file takes long to download from external site.

file type = cpub-qwic-****-CmsRdsh .rdpWe have a RDS Gateway that is pointing to a external site i.e public facing. Accessing the RDS via the external site https://remote.sample.com/rdweb takes a very long time to download the .rdp fileWhen we access internally via the hostname of the RD Gateway ie. https://the servaname.com/rdweb rdp file is fast to download the rdp file.Network flowThe RD goes through a Load balance to firewall to VMZ proxy hostname to firewall and to a public IP.Please advise why the RD Webpage takes time to download a simple .rdp file.

Activate RDS CAL 2019 on Windows Server 2016

Dear Microsoft Support,



We recently purchased Windows Server RDS CAL 2019.

When we tried to install Windows Server RDS CAL 2019 into Windows Server 2016, it shows the license is not recognized and couldn’t install.



My questions are :

1. Can’t Windows RDS CAL 2019 be installed in Windows Server 2016? If can, how?
2. Is there any way to downgrade RDS CAL from 2019 to 2016 version?

RD Gateway Server - how to remove permanently

Hello,
At my previous job, I was asked to take certain steps (don't remember now what they were) but it was to set up RDP to use a Gateway server.

Now that I've changed jobs, I still see the old IP and Gateway server information. I went to registry and deleted the entries from Terminal client and servers.

However, I still see a server name listed under RDP-Advanced-Settings-Use these RD Gateway Server settings.
I have opted for - Do not use RD Gateway server but was wondering how to remove the old server name entry completely.

Windows Server 2019 RDS CAL for Windows Server 2016

I recently purchased Windows Server RDS CAL from Microsoft Online site.

When I purchased it I didn't know that it was for Windows Server 2019 and I have Windows Server 2016.

When I tried to install Windows RDS CAL for 2019 into Windows Server 2016 it shows the license is not recognized and couldn't install.

My questions are:

1. Can't Windows RDS CAL for 2019 be installed in Windows Server 2016?

2. Is there any way to replace RDS CAL from 2019 to 2016 ver?

3. Can I get a refund for this?
