Windows 10: Windows Server 2022 21H2 Update KB5058385 failing with error 0x80073701

Hi there,I'm trying for several days to install the 2025-05 cumulative update on my Server 2022 Standard 21H2, os build 20348.3453. Windows Update keeps on displaying error 0x80073701. The KB article states that there are no known problems with the update.The following commands do not reveal errors or allow successful installation of the update:sfc /scannowdism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanupdism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:C:\Windows\WinSxS /LimitAccessIn CBS.log, I see the following error messages:0000015a F STATUS_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING #3355226# from CCSDi

Failed Windows update for Server 2022 Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80073701

This is a Windows 2022 server and have not been able to apply the cumulative update since November of 2022. Other updates like the ,Net and defender updates install without any issues, just the cumulative update fails. Failed Windows update for Server 2022 - Tried all the posted related for this error message but nothing seems to work - Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80073701: 2023-02 Cumulative Update for Microsoft server operating system version 21H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5022842)

I found several post and tried everything listed in the posts, still no luck. Need help.

Not able to install update error code (0x80073701

I am not able update the system with the update

2022-07 Cumulative Update for Microsoft server operating system version 21H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5015879)

The error is " We couldn't install this update, but you can try again (0x80073701)"

it is Window Server 2022 Standard, Because of this error i cannot add IIS Role.

 

Windows 10 21H2 to 22H2 update error (0x80073701)

I am trying to update my windows from windows 10 21H2 to 22H2 but at 100% install, it comes up with error (0x80073701)
