Windows 10: Windows Server - Antivirus exceptions

HelloOur company just changed their AV product. The new product provides more centralized management of Windows servers.However we are not sure of what policies to apply to various windows servers I'm looking for a list of anti-virus exceptions for these Windows servers and products:Servers : 2012, 2016, 2019Products : Microsoft SQL, Microsoft RDS servers, Exchange 2019, File server, Veeam backup serverHas anyone got a list of exceptions handy for any of these products?TIAPurvesh

Free Windows Server 2008 (and 2008 R2) for students

Microsoft recently added Windows Server 2008 R2 to Dreamspark, so now Server 2008 and Server 2008 R2 are available for free to any student enrolled in a class at any of the universities on their list. Windows Server 2008 R2 can be converted so that it is like Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 can be converted so that it is like Vista. I'm still running XP Pro, but only until I find a free antivirus program for server operating systems *Roll Eyes

 

Good Antivirus + Firewall

I would never put anything Norton on my computer.

Nod32 is arguably the best antivirus. AVG is likely not as good, but it's free and at least pretty good.

Firewalls, I'd put Comodo and whatever "Tiny Personal Firewall" is named nowadays on your short list. I think Kerio might have sold it now and it's named something else. Otherwise, just put Comodo on your short list. I think the current version's ease of use has taken a step backwards, seems a bit counter-intuitive when trying to do certain things with it, but overall it does a good job and the price is right.
