    Hello I need help from restoring a backup windows server 2016 I have checked that it is successfully backed up on my external hard drive and this window appeared when recovering, I searched online and came up empty on what the solution any help reply would be appreciated.     Hi,can anyone tell me the quickest/best way to backup my files from my desktop Win10 computer to my ext hdd?.... Windows Server Backup won't restore from completed backup on ext. hdd :) Approx 360gb's worth. And h-o-w to find out the size of the RAM on my computer as well? Plus h-o-w to find out wether I've got Win10 'home'
    Or 'professional,as well?

    Free hard drive backup/restore program?

    I am looking for a free (freeware) program that will back up and restore a hard drive. I'm looking to clone a few external hard drives. If the program will backup the used space instead of the whole drive this will be awesome! Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hello All - I appreciate all your efforts to help me with this - the 1st time I have reached out to the "community" - I hope you all get to see this update, but we are getting somewhere.

    1. Just purchased ext HDD and moved all backups to there.

    2. Deleted my AOEMI backup schedule and started from scratch

    3. I now have complete backup and scheduled new diff backups

    4. deleted and merged "backup partition" on main HDD - thanks Ross

    5. Now I can easily and quickly delete old large files on new ext HDD with std "delete function"??? - had tried disabling schedule as suggested previously but did not improve.

    6. Once I have an excess of backups on new ext HDD to delete I will see what happens - we still have the Linux suggestion in reserve (not tried yet)

    Thanks again - hopefully fixed....
