    Windows Server Backups for Windows 11 Client


    I use Windows Server 2012R2 to back up my various desktops and laptops. I've used the Windows Server 2012 Essentials Client Connector on the various Windows platforms I've had - all Windows 10. I just updated a PC to Windows 11. I was able to install the Client Connector and launch the Essentials Dashboard to monitor the Windows Server 2012 machine. The problem is that the server doesn't see the Windows 11 Client. Windows Server 2012 is not quite EOL yet, so I would think connectivity for current platforms would still exist? Also, I haven't found anything regarding Windows 11 Clients for later

    Remove Backups Server essentials 2012R2

    I would like to remove some old backups for devices listed in the windows server essentials 2012 R2 dashboard to free up hard drive space. Also would like to delete old backups from client computers no longer on the network.

    What are the steps needed to accomplish this? I do not see an obvious way to do this in the devices tab of the dashboard.

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Microsoft Prepares Update for Windows Home Server

    Microsoft's Windows Home Server officially launched earlier this month, is already preparing to be updated. Microsoft says that the new update is "part of the ongoing process of continually enhancing the customer experience with Windows Home Server." The update includes a few feature additions for Windows Home Server. Currently, users who login to their server when away from their home network - through an external URL like https://yourname.homeserver.com - are greeted with a security warning. The November 27 update will now provide users with a trusted SSL certificate for their Windows Home Severs. The SSL certification was provided with the help of Windows Live Domains and GoDaddy. Other new features include a "Delete All" button to remove home computer backups. Microsoft has also taken steps to make the Shared Folders and Server Storage aspects of Windows Home Server more robust and user friendly.
