Windows 10: Windows Server License Transfer from Dead Machine to New Machine

Hi!I have a license for Windows Server 2022 Standard that I've used for about a year on a repurposed system. I bought this a couple of years ago and it's purpose is a testing machine and file server for my home.That system died on me today. I setup a backup system that meets the hardware requirements but when I attempt to change the product key to use the license from the dead machine, but it says it doesn't work. Any idea what my options are?

Transfering Licenses from a non functional Machine to a New Machine.

I have several licenses for Windows 10 & Pro versions, that were utilized on machines that are no longer functioning. My question is how do I transfer these Licences to a new machine?

 

Dead motherboard, new machine, can digital license be transferred (if so, how?)

If the license is the full version Windows 10 Pro digital download and not the $99 Windows 10 Pro Pack, yes, you can transfer it to your Mac and reactivate it.

If the license was linked to your Microsoft Account, then all you need to do is install Windows 10 Pro through Boot Camp then follow the steps below.

Click Start > Settings > Update & security > Activation

Click Troubleshoot

Sign into your Microsoft Account

Select your previous machine then click Next for it to activate.

If it does not activate, change the machine name to the one listed in the Activation Troubleshooter wizard.

Restart the machine, then try activating again.

Transferring Win 10 license to new machine.

I wish to transfer my existing win 10 pro license to a new machine and install a new win 10 home license on my old machine How do I do that?
