Windows 10: windows service pack update caused my Dell Inspiron 3668 to lose sound

I need a solution for why my Dell Inspiron 3668 lost sound after the last service pack update. The only way it was fixed before was the reset the computer back the original Windows 10 that camp with the computer. After it was reloaded the windows updated started again which made the computer lose sound again.

No it doesn't have a built-in Mic. Since it is a Desktop it has a Mic input.

KB4549951 update caused Dell Inspiron 3668 desktop to freeze up, and become unusable

After installing KB4549951 update on my Dell Inspiron 3668 desktop with an Intel Core i3-7100, it froze up. I rebooted it and noted a scan of the hard drive started, which took some time to complete. After this hard drive scan completed, it booted into
WIN10 successfully. But every program ran extremely slowly, so slowly that the computer became unusable. So via recovery I un-installed this latest update, rebooted twice and now my Dell Inspiron 3668 desktop speed seems to be back to normal - the computer
seems to be working OK now.

NOTE: I also have an HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-00xx with an AMD Ryzen 7 2700. The KB4549951 update appears to have installed OK without causing any issues and it continues to work OK.

QUESTION..............:

Since the KB4549951 update causes my Dell Inspiron 3668 desktop with an Intel Core i3-7100 to become unusable, is Microsoft working on a fix to this update?
