Should Windows time be set to manual or automatic?

OK, so changing the 'set time automatically' toggle in Settings modifies the W32time start up type in Services. That would make sense.

So as an experiment I turned off 'set time automatically' in Settings then looked in Services.
Result: Startup = Disabled, Service status = Stopped.

Then I turned it back on: Startup = Manual (Triggered start), Service status = Running.

Now I'm really puzzled, where/when/how did I get it set as Automatic? *Biggrin

Windows sets automatically a wrong time after i change it manually

The time and location is wrong. How can it be set properly?

    Hi James,

To set the Time Zone automatically in Windows 10, you can follow these steps:

    • Click the Start button and open the Start Menu.
    • Go to Settings and select Time & Language.
    • In the left pane, select Date & Time. You can set the time to adjust automatically or change it manually.
    • In the right pane, you will see the setting Set time zone automatically. You can toggle the slider button to
      On.

If you have other questions, let us know.

    Regards.
