    Windows setting page scrolling not working


    Hello. The trouble is the following. I have windows updated, and everything in order. But when i go to setting this happens. I try to scroll down and it forces me back up and the first option on the top right appears as selected and it forces the page to go up so it shows. What is wrong and how can i fix it?

    We appreciate your response. To troubleshoot your issue, we suggest that you follow these steps below on how to modify Touchpad Scrolling Settings.

    • Go to Control Panel.
    • Click Mouse and choose Touchpad tab.
    • Locate the Scrolling Settings area within the touchpad properties tab. Adjust the settings to meet your needs.
    • Click OK.

    Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

    Sorry to know that you are facing this issue.

    Your efforts to work on this issue is very much appreciated.

    I suggest you to install the Track point page scroll drivers in compatibility mode
    and check if that helps.

    Step 1: Download the Windows 10 compatible drivers from the manufacturing website and install in a compatibility mode refer step 2.

    Step 2: Compatibility Mode.

    a. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select
    Properties

    b. Select Compatibility Tab

    c. Place a check mark next to Run this program in Compatibility mode and select the operating system accordingly from the drop down list

    d. Let the driver to install and then check the functionality.

    Windows setting page scrolling not working

    Touchpad scroll not working on Windows 10

    My Dell Inspiron 15 came with Windows 10...the scroll function quit working. When I rolled back the driver using the steps listed above, it still didn't work...the touchpad settings disappeared and the touchpad did not even show up in the device list
    anymore...then I had to figure out how to find the correct "mouse" on the device list and restore the driver...when the driver downloaded, the touchpad settings would not open...then when I tried to open a url on a webpage, all I got was a window asking me
    if I wanted to leave this page...my recommendation is not to follow these directions...just use your up and down arrow to scroll...it will save you some trouble...
