Windows 10: Windows showing sign in instead of password box

I am not able to sign in to my windows 11. When i start my pc its showing me my account profile on the top and sign in is written below it and there is no password box and when i click on that sign in button its shows me just a moment but nothing happens it again show ne the same. I tried to enable the safe mode but to enter in order to enter in safe mode i gave agin to go through the login screen and its still the same tgere is only sign in written below my acount profile. I also tried to reset my pc but nothing is happening its also showing an error when i try to reset it, it shows "Required

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• On the right side, you will see required sign in.
• Change it to Never.

Want to sign on with PIN instead of Password

Glad to know that the Pop up with the password manager is disabled with the above suggestion.

Try the below suggestions to fix the issue with Signing in using PIN authentication.

Steps 1: Launch the File Explorer.

Step 2: Browse to this location, and delete the contents of the folder.

C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC

Step 3: Go to Settings (Press Windows
and I key), Accounts > Sign in Options.

Step 4: Click on Add a PIN and set your PIN.

Step 5: Restart the computer and check the status of the issue.

Changing sign-in password clue

Hello, Andy.

It is completely possible to change your password hint on Windows 10 without going through all the “rigmarole *chuckle” of changing the password. Just do this:

Step 1- On the search bar, type “Settings” then locate and click on “Accounts”.
Step 2- On the left navigation pane, locate and click on “Sign- In Options”, then click on “Password”.
Step 3- Type your current password/new password and the hint that you want to provide under “Password Hint”.
