Windows shows 3440x1440 resolution, but can't use 2560x1080?

I use my personal monitor for work and upgraded from fhd to wqhd. The issue is many of the applications I use daily don't scale, so the font is absolutely tiny no matter what zoom I use. The weird thing is windows lets me choose 3440x1440 in the "list all modes" under the advanced display options, but there's only 16:9 resolutions from there down. Is there a way I can fix this?

    :)

2560x1080 to 3440x1440 with VSR/DSR or with any alternative solutions

    Hi guys!

I mainly play cs:go and overwatch, but both on my old 27" tn 60hz 1080p monitor at 2560x1440 (using amd vsr), so I get an image like with multisamping, but without mouse-inputlaggs!

I would like to buy a 21:9 monitor. The 3440x1440 monitors got usually max. 75hz, thats not enough for me, thats why I am thinking to buy the AOC C3583FQ. It's 35", 160hz, ips, but only 2560x1080.

I googled a lot, but i did not find much. All I know is, that AMD does not support 21:9 Virtual Super Resolution (but I am going to buy surely an RX 480, and freesync monitors are much more cheaper, and this aoc got freesync too). For Nvidia I did not find a list for this support.

So I have some questions now, maybe someone can help me.

How can I get 3440x1440 on the 2560x1080 monitor with an AMD card? I found only "Gedosato" as a solution. Are there any more alternatives? Does that work in cs:go and overwatch? Will I still get the 160hz on the 3440x1440 resolution at the native 2560x1080 monitor?

Because I play mostly competitive games, I am using low graphics settings, so i would have those 160+ fps numbers surely. Freesync support is a question too with 3440x1440.

Maybe I am the first having such an idea *Big Grin Windows shows 3440x1440 resolution, but can't use 2560x1080? :D, but 2560x1080 is the same resolution like 1920x1080, just 1-1 hand wider, so I need the 3440x1440 on 2560x1080, like the 2560x1440 on 1920x1080 monitor, and the 160hz would be important too.
