    I've performed:
    clean boot
    disabled all start-up programs
    run sfc /scannow

unfortunately my laptops boots up slow.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 update Dec 19 slowdown

After the update on the 19th, there is a substantial increase in time to boot up. Prior to that update, my desktop XPS 8700 would boot and be running in 40 seconds. Now it takes a full 120 seconds to start and there is another 4 or 5 minutes of sluggish
and delayed performance before it is up to normal speed. All startup programs listed in Task Manager except Windows Defender Notification icon are disabled. What gives? Feels like 2002 again.

    Creators Update

Yeah I noticed it's a little more sluggish overall too. Especially noticed this on the boot up. Takes a little longer than it used to.

    Windows sluggish boot-up time

Have a look at Windows Updates and see if any pending updates are scheduled or have failed.

If you have this condition you should first shutdown the PC from an admin command prompt using "shutdown /s" without the quotes.

Start up the PC and once booted go to Windows Update and watch that updates are downloaded and installed correctly. Once that occurs you should be prompted for a restart, do so.
