Windows 10: Windows SmartScreen is Blocking Excel, Word, EXE file types But allows PDF, CVS, PNG

Windows SmartScreen is Blocking Excel, Word, EXE file types But allows PDF, CVS, PNG. I can disable SmartScreen or use a different Browser and I can download files. Example. I go to OneDrive on Sharepoint and open a Excel File. I select File > Download a Copy and receive "Couldn't download" - Blocked. Some of the devices are in MDE and Others are using Intune Policy. We are a hybrid shop.

• Do you get any option to save password?
• Which application are you referring to?

Follow the steps below and check if that helps.

• Right click on the shortcut or in File explorer and select Run as administrator check if that helps.
• Also observe when you type password do you get a prompt for saving password just above Taskbar.

Windows 10, sorting files within File Explorer by document type: pdf, word, excel

My work has moved to Windows 10 and I am trying to find a particular file and I know it has the word "academic" in it. When I put in the word, I get back 236 files that are pdf, word, & excel, but I want just the excel documents. I other versions of Windows
all you had to do was click on type at the top and another drop down would appear with the different files types but in this version there is no drop down. How can I bring up just the excel documents?

Kindly tell me how to attach any pdf, word or excel file with any mail because when I am opening attachment of any mail it is opening album and asking for attaching picture but there is no option for word, excel or pdf file.
