Windows 10: Windows so darned dysfunctional at times? I've used Windows since Win95. Won't allow...

Oh for those days when a desktop owner could look into their own pc and see how it ticks, and if competent make the necessary changes.

I take very good care of my HP desktop. It gets all the latest versions and updates for 10. I defrag and check for malware, etc on a regular basis. But there are so many annoying things that I cannot fix. And they get added to about 1 each month.

I have tried for years to fix that "you must have administrator permissions" or some sort like that. I have listened and Googled and read so many fixes and they never work. It's frustrating not to be able to get into your own folders. I have been completely through that "take ownership" but following that fix. Doesn't fix. I've put everyone or group listed on that window as "full control." I don't' get full control. The only thing that stays greyed out is "Special Permissions" And that is even when I sign in on the administrator account. This account that I use other than the admin is also and administrator account that shows Full Permissions allowed ???

I live alone, no one else to see the contents. I just went through a Googled help to change the logon into a picture. Rebooted. Didn't work. I'd like to not use any password at all. I had it that way at one time. One says this is the way to go, another says that is not, this is the way? Frankly I wish Android had a PC desktop. I guess, technically my Chromebook laptop is Android . . . no?

1 I have a logon photo of me that has disappeared for ghost man. Yes, I have a photo no that same MS account online that I sign in with. Same password. Didn't change a thing.
2 I can't get full control on the "my name account" no matter what. Even logging on to the admin account and making sure I see that "my name account" has Full Permissions Allow
3 I am wary of even trying to make the logon with no creds needed but I fear something going wrong, could I be blamed?, and not allowing me in.

Windows! I'm with it since Windows 95 but sometimes I almost understand the rhetoric from the "i" device users. We ask help here and there can be umpteen variables that we don't even know of that we then can't tell a moderator here, leaving him in the dark also.

I'd consider a full factory restore. Did it once. And as I began to check and load things it seemed to have remembered different things about the old OS. So could that even give me a true fresh start? smh

pc won`t update

I`ve been trying to solve this problem for 3 months to no avail.

PLEASE HELP!!!

EVERY time the computer check new updates, the following message appears:

We couldn't connect to the update service. We'll try again later, or you can check now. If it still doesn't work, make sure you're connected to the Internet.

My PC is connected to the internet, so this could not be the problem.

you`ve only directed me to a window link, which I don`T really understand.

Could ANYONE PLEASE send me a simple answer how I can solve this problem step by step???????

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
