Each application I use in windows 11 have a different sound setting than the overall one, I've tried to reset the sound through volume mixer and I didn't get any result out of it. I'd like to get a solution that fixes this problem as it's annoying to deal with. I've attached a image that shows the problem

    :)

is it possible to change the overall volume through an app?

I have a Lumia 620 and my volume keys are not always working. Is it possible to change the overall volume through an app?

If it is possible can you mention an app that does that?

Sound sources not showing up in volume mixer / app volume controls setting main volume

    Hello again,

I am still having the same issue. Here are the steps I have taken so far:

    * Tried windows media player. Result: it works as expected, generating its own entry in the volume mixer.

    * Tried updating the sound drivers in device manager. Result: they were already the latest ones.

    * Uninstalled the sound device and drivers in device manager and then reinstalled the drivers on reboot. After reboot, I again checked the driver status, but it the latest had been reinstalled.

    * Tested the netflix app, netflix in edge browser, amazon video in edge browser. Result: As before, there is no separate entry in the volume mixer, and the app's volume slider only affects the master volume of the sound device.

    Did I miss any suggestions?

Volume shortcuts suddenly adjust system sounds instead of overall volume: I had originally set up the volume shortcuts on my Ducky One 2 keyboard and in SteelSeries Engine (for my mouse) and they worked as expected to adjust overall volume level until about two weeks ago when they started adjusting only the system sounds volume level. I didn't...
