Windows 10: Windows Sound when I press any key on Desktop

Hey,I got this weird issue where when I'm on my desktop and I press a key on my keyboard that it plays the "Windows Background". Am I going crazy?Please help me. Restarting doesn't help. I know that its called the Windows Background Sound bc that's whats its called in Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Sound>Sounds.

Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

• Press Windows key + W and type troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2

I suggest you to try updating the Sound drivers check if it works for you.

Follow the steps to update the sound driver:

• Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand ‘Sound, Video and Game Controllers’.
  
• Right-click on the Sound device listed and click on ‘Update Driver Software’.
• Select the option to automatically search for the updated driver software.
• Restart the computer after its updated and verify.

Method 3: Uninstall and reinstall the Sound driver

I suggest you to try uninstall the Sound drivers check if it works for you.

Follow the steps to uninstall the Sound drivers:

Notification sounds when pressing keys on desktop.

Hi, not really been able to find a solution online to a problem i have.

I plugged in a new keyboard yesterday (mechanical with led patterns)

after setting up the light pattern i wanted, i noticed that when moving around desktop i would occasionally get the windows notification sound whilst pressing keys.

Usually after hovering over a desktop icon with the mouse, a few keystrokes after the sound will play.

Using cursor keys after highlighting a desktop icon will cycle through my desktop icons, pressing "tab" cycles through my startbar icons , all the while getting the alert sound after a few keystrokes.

I've tried plugging in my old keyboard as i assumed it was a faulty new one, had the same issue. Ive tried turning off all options for sticky/filter keys i can see. Still happening. It seems like i've activated some option to use keystrokes to control the desktop, but i have no idea.
