Windows 10: Windows sounds stopped working.

Ok this may sound weird but I lost all windows default sounds on my laptop. Volume works but there's no dong noise when I adjust it. I don't get windows notification sounds anymore. I also don't get error sounds or the startup sound at all. I also don't hear the device connect or disconnect sound either. I even did a factory reset and it worked, but I lost them again. Does anyone know how to fix this odd issue?

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue
