Windows 10: Windows spamming event logs in temp file

Hi there,I'm coming to you today because i really ran out of ideas.For 3 months now, every 7 minutes precisely, windows creates 12 event logs and one .txt file, for roughly 600Mo per hour.I checked the error code in the txt file, looked it up on the internet, and it says Windows update is failing its attempt to update...except my windows is actually updated.I just paused the windows update yesterday to see if it was of any help, and of course it wasn't.And those files come along a really, really annoying internet lag which lasts 20 or so seconds especialky annoying when i'm playing online, b

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

 

Temp Files : Runaway Creation

Hello Bruce,

Windows Temporary files are created by the operating system during the normal course of its running when there may not be enough memory allocated for the task.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to delete temporary files nad check if it helps:

Step 1

• Press Windows key + R
• Type temp and click OK
• Press Ctrl + A and click Delete

Step 2

• Press Windows key + R
• Type %temp% and click OK
• Press Ctrl + A and click Delete

Step 3

• Press Windows key + R
• Type prefetch and click OK
• Press Ctrl + A and click Delete

Event Log files flood at Windows/Temp

David Spink, thank you very much. Events went as follows:

1. "SFC /SCANNOW" executed successfuly but did not solve the issue;
2. "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealt" executed successfuly but did not solve the issue;
3. "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth" executed successfuly but did not solve the issue;
4. "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" displayed an error message and did not complete;

By this point, it seemed not to be generating the Log Files. Although, the Mail app was not working and always when I tried, it would pop the Log Files again.

Went to MS Store and it showed many "Update error" on various apps. I managed to updated them one by one. Restarted the PC a couple times and Windows downloaded some update along the way.

It seems it has settled by now.
