Windows 10: windows speed

my problem is my pc is veryyyyy slow.i cant any work properly.before few days one of advisor said me that if i change my ram, my pc speed will increase. my ram is 1 gb and speed is 180 ghz. if i change my ram upto 4 or 8 gb will it increase speed?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
