Windows 10: Windows Spotlight displays as only the solid color chosen in personalization instead of...

At some point a month or two ago windows spotlight stopped working and became just the color that is set in personalization. The lock screen is set to windows spotlight still, and the apps that are allowed to give statuses don't show up either. I have tried a number of different solutions online but none work. I asked about this before and foolishly thought something had worked but it didn't. Help

• Are you able to use spotlight before?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you follow these steps to modify Lock screen background to spotlight:

• Open Settings.
• Click Personalization and select Lock screen.
• Under Background, choose Windows spotlight.

• Do you wants to change the lock screen picture?
• Are you making these changes in the Microsoft account?

I suggest you install any pending Windows updates on the pc to check if that helps. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.

You can turn off the Windows Spotlight feature and then turning it back on and check



Step 1: Right-click on the desktop and then click Personalize to open Personalization category of Settings.



Step 2: Click Lock screen



Step 3: Under Background section, select Picture or slideshow option from the drop-down box.



Step 4: Press windows key + Lock.



Step 5: login back again and follow the same steps from 1 to 3 and change back to Windows spotlight and check if it helps.

Lockscreen solid color, but with related search options still showing

I had tried toggling back and forth a few times, with no luck. I found a lot of other people having this issue, except they were getting a solid color without the search suggestions on the screen that come with the 'windows spotlight' setting. I just went and flipped between picture and windows spotlight once again, and voila, it seems to be working now. Weird.
