Windows 10: Windows Spotlight ignores thumb down selection.

As far as I can tell thump down/up options are completely superficial and not used by the Spotlight. It rotates in images completely randomly, including the ones previously thumbed down.Another problem is a text description window often cuts out text and can't be resized.Ideally would be nice to have a download option as well or ability to directly share it.It is a shame because I like a lot of the images discovered through it, and sometimes you get stuck with images you don't like with no ability to rotate them. And can't reset as well as the refresh timer works only when the feature is being

This issue with Windows Spotlight can be caused by corrupted system files.

As an initial troubleshooting step, try to run the System File Checker tool to scan and repair missing or corrupted system files. Click

We also suggest that you re-register Windows Spotlight by following the steps below:

• Open Settings.
• Click Personalization.
• Select Lock screen.
• Under Background, select Picture or
  Slideshow.
• Once done, press Windows key + S and type PowerShell, right click on Windows PowerShell, and choose
  Run as administrator.
• Enter the administrator credentials once prompted.
• In Windows PowerShell window, type or copy and paste this command:
  
  Get-AppxPackage -allusers *ContentDeliveryManager* | foreach {Add-AppxPackage "$($_.InstallLocation)\appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode -register }
• Press Enter.
• Go back to Settings and set Windows Spotlight as the background.

welcome screen is not asking if i like the spotlight choice

One of the possible reasons why your laptop is not asking if you like the spotlight choice might be because the Windows spotlight is not set as your lock screen background. To address this concern, we suggest enabling Windows spotlight as your lock screen

• Go to Settings.
