Windows 10: "Windows Spotlight" Now Available As Desktop Wallpaper Choice With New KB5014019 Preview...

Hello Fellow Members And Team, I just noticed with the May 24th 2022 - KB5014019 OS Build 22000.708 Preview. You can Now set your Background Image Desktop Wallpaper setting to use the MS "Spotlight Feature" Just like you can with the "Lock Screen". For more information and to try it out please go to " Settings / Personalization / Background " :Just like you could in the LockScreen feature :I feel that this is a very nice and needed new feature. Thanks Microsoft What do you think about this new feature?...

The question was clearly mentioned on how to set Windows Spotlight wallpapers as desktop wallpapers. Please understand the question before answering!

I recently created an application called "Spotlight Wallpaper" that makes it really easy to use the Windows Spotlight images as your wallpaper. It simply copies all new full-hd Spotlight images to a folder and will then at random pick one of these and assign
it as your new desktop wallpaper.

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

Let us inform that the Spotlight feature is only available on the Lock screen. This feature is not applicable on Desktop screen.

However you can normally keep sliding desktop wallpaper.

Follow the steps provided below to set slide desktop.

• Press Windows logo + I key.
• Click on Personalization.
• Under Background dropdown menu, select slideshow.
• Then select the folder from which the desktop slide’s to be applied.
