    Windows spotlight option is missing and admin message on local session


    Hi there,


    I don't have windows spotlight option on windows 10 Lock screen customization menu. I already tried to follow few procedure to reinitialize windows spotlight but it didn't work.


    Moreover, I got this red sentence on the top of the custom Lock screen customization menu : "some of these settings are changed by your lock screen organization".

    I can't remove it, it's a personnal computer on an admin session not connected to any organisation or whatever.


    Do you have any idea to get rid of this sentence and get windows spotlight back ?

    Yes, for at least one case in the FCU (updates policies) there's an accompanying link to see the details, it may apply to all such cases.

    Edit: but not in all cases, it seems. The particular policy to disable Spotlight is only available in Enterprise and Education, so I can't test that one. I can test another policy that also affects Personalization settings - stopping users from choosing desktop wallpaper. There's no explanation for that 'some setting are managed...' message.

    Have you disabled any Services or Telemetry in any way?
