    Windows start button doesn’t work and settings automatically closes when I open it up.


    Hello. This issue all started when I wanted to rename my windows user file and I went to regedit to rename it and everything but then when I went to sign in, i got an error that said something along the lines of “we couldn’t sign you into your account”. I tried to fix it by going to regedit again but I accidentally deleted both of my profiles. How can I fix this?

    Start Button displaying but not working


    The start button was working until there was a forced reboot (power failure). Then left click (normal click) over the start button does absolutely nothing. Right click brings up a menu but "programs" and also "settings" are missing and not included on this list. Search or Task View buttons do not work either with "normal" click. Does anyone have any suggestion or fixes?

    SEtting up automatic updates for windows defender on windows 8

    I have found this on the internet en have set up a task for automatic definitions update for Windows Defender but a window pops up when this starts to run.
    Is there a way to set this without any window popping up so that it just runs in the background?

    Now I'm using
    "C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MpCmdRun.exe" -SignatureUpdate -MMPC
