Windows 10: Windows Start Button not working at all

In addition to a very persistent 'Windows Firewall Turned Off" notice, when it is actually showing as ON and functioning in the dashboard, my Start button is now completely frozen and does not work at all. I can pull up the context menus by left clicking, but the right click simply does not work so I cannot get to any of my apps. This did seem to go completely south after that Feb 8 2022 cumulative update, and I have uninstalled that, but it didn't fix anything. Really frustrated with Windows 11. Is anyone experiencing this and has been able to fix it, I beg you, please help. lolThanks very mu

What steps should be taken to diagnose a Windows 10 start button not working?

 

Start Button displaying but not working


The start button was working until there was a forced reboot (power failure). Then left click (normal click) over the start button does absolutely nothing. Right click brings up a menu but "programs" and also "settings" are missing and not included on this list. Search or Task View buttons do not work either with "normal" click. Does anyone have any suggestion or fixes?
