Windows 10: Windows Start Menu and Settings Unresponsive

I have recently run into an issue with windows 10 where the start menu and settings have no response when i click on them. Also, none of the task bar apps open, I get an error that states: explorer.exe class not registered. I have tried many different possible fixes but none have seemed to work. I have performed an sfc scan, used the DSIM command, restarted windows explorer. I've even went as far as running a tron script to locate and remove any possible viruses which found and removed a trojan Because of this issue i've been unable to access many of my programs installed, I've had to remove

I'm having a issue with windows 10, my start menu search bar and notifications are unresponsive. when I click them nothing happens. I have done various scans and fixes.

Method 1: Run the SFC.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Follow the below steps:

1. Right click on the Start button, click on
   Command Prompt (Admin).
   
2. Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
   Enter.
   
3. After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.
   

Method 2: Run the DISM Tool.

If the issue persists, I would have you run the DISM tool to check the system health and will try to restore the files.

1. Right click on the Start button, click on
   Command Prompt (Admin).
   
2. In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following commands. Press the
   Enter key after each command:
   

• DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
  
  
• DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  

3. To close the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type
Exit, and then press Enter.

I have restarted windows explorer under the processes in the task manager

I have Started the Application identity service under command prompt services.msc

The only thing i haven't done is create a new profile which i think will fix it but i can't access the system settings because that won't open even when i right click on the windows icon on the lower left in the task bar and select settings. The window
will pop up but all i get is a blue window with the settings icon in the middle. Can someone please help. Thank you

This issue might have occurred if you have disabled the settings icon from the Start Menu. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Click Start, type
  Start settings and click the Start settings in results
  
• 
  Click "Choose which folders appear on Start"
  
• 
  Enable "Settings" toggle button.
