Windows 10: Windows start menu and Windows Explorer not working

Discus and support Windows start menu and Windows Explorer not working in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; So I used the registry to change the taskbar color. That's it.     Windows start menu and Windows Explorer not working


    So I used the registry to change the taskbar color. That's it. That is all I did. And now I can't right or left click the start button or the search bar. And to add to it, Windows Explorer isn't working either. So I can't access my folders. I've changed all of the settings that I changed manually back to their default. But it still doesn't work. And I have tried using the DISM and SFC commands and neither of them work. They both say that I have insufficient access even though I am the only account on the device and not on a network. I have tried using the commands as administrator, but the s

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows Explorer Replacement?

    are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer
