Windows 10: windows start screen glitch

so randomly i clicked the start screen one day then this happened. can someone pls tell me how to fix this.

Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.

Google search and you will find a lot of the "Windows Black Screen of Death with cursor" fixes.

  Click Start icon and click Settings
  
• 
  Choose Personalization, click on Start
  
• 
  Turn on “Use start full screen”
