    Windows Start Search "We are getting search ready" Forever


    When I open up the start menu it shows "We are getting search ready" forever. Worked until when I started my computer up today. I have attached a screenshot of this.

    One thing that you can do to try to see what's going on is run Task Manager. Then, on the Performance tab, click Open Resource Monitor. In Resource Monitor click Disk. Sort disk activity by Total bytes in descending order, or otherwise view the list of
    files that are being written to. Keep an eye out for processes related to Windows Search that are reading a lot of files.
