Windows 10: Windows start up loop / 2 operating systems?

I purchased a Geoflex laptop as Christmas present for my daughter. She started up yesterday and went through set up. All seemed fine. When she switched back on her laptop later at night it wouldn't find any internet to connect to. She switched back off and went to sleep.

This morning, upon start up, a screen came up saying: "Choose an Operating System". There are two options. Both options are "Windows 10 on volume 3." There seems to be no distinction between them. If I click one, and it doesn't matter which one, or if I just let the tablet automatically run on one of them, it loads for a few seconds with the Geo screen, and then immediately loops back to the same "Choose an Operating System" screen. It is stuck on an infinite loop.

Is that fixable or should I send the laptop back?

To better assist you, do let us the complete message that you receive.

Sometimes, this could be due to two operating system installed in your computer. Just to make sure this is not the case, I suggest you to try the steps below:

1. Press Windows key + R.

2. Type msconfig and press enter.

3. Click the "boot" tab and check if there are any other operating system listed.

4. In addition, change the timeout time to 3 seconds(default)

If your in a boot loop, see if this helps.

If your PC isn’t loading Windows 10 and you don’t have the operating system installation files, you can use the following trick.

• 
  Start your computer and follow the POST, when Windows should begin loading, press the power button to shutdown your computer.
  
• 
  Repeat the previous step twice, and in the third restart the operating system should enter into the Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE), where a number of diagnostics will be performed to try fix any booting
  issues, but you will also get an option to access the Windows Startup Settings
  

 

Windows Start issue

Try this:

Right click on your start menu, and click on System:





When the system window comes up, click on Advanced System Settings:




There, click on Startup and Recovery:




Then in the top menu you will have a choice of OSs. Select the one you want to boot to defaultly and uncheck the box for "Time to display list of operating systems."




That should make it boot into Windows 10 without your intervention.
