Windows 10: Windows Start up menu problem [Windows 10 Home]

Okay so when I press the Windows button from keyboard or from the taskbar the Start Up menu opens up and gets closed very soon. I cannot navigate application and other options using Windows Start up menu. I need to use Alt+F4 to shut down my windows. The problem is very annoying and I need to type in the search option to open in application, command prompt and other applications. I recently fully scanned my windows 10 using windows defender and it found 2 trojan virus which got quarantined but now I'm having this issue. What do I do?

yeah I've been less than happy with the start menu also.
for me I for me I get freezes in start menu, especialy returning from sleep...which reminds me sleep is such a pain in the butt since I switch to Windows 10. Either waking up on its own, or system freezes when recovering from sleep

Stardock was a nice switch from vanilla, but i wasnt gonna buy it and 30 days goes by quick.
