Windows 10: windows startup to black screen with power symbol and mouse

Discus and support windows startup to black screen with power symbol and mouse in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; Just as the title says.     Just as the title says. But the power is in the bottom right corner instead of the left. I have to restart and it boots just fine. this happens once or twice a week. I'm assuming explorer.exe is not starting. Any ideas?Thx, Dave

    Thank you for supporting!

    But I got black screen without mouse cursor, no key work but power button.

    This is how I startup : blue window symbol --> black screen with nothing appear but black --> power button to make it sleep --> wait a second then power button to screen on --> lock screen.

    If I do-not press power button to sleep, it took hours to wait for nothing happen.

    Could you please answer few questions:


    • When you say “Now, nothing is on my desktop” what exactly are you referring to?

    • Are you getting black screen after Sign in?
    If you are getting black screen after sign in, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in the below help article and check if it helps.

    Have you made any changes to your system prior to this issue?


    I suggest you unplug all the external devices (except keyboard and mouse) connected to the system and restart it to check if it helps.
