Windows 10: Windows Store 0x87E00005 When downloading Flight Sim

I can't download flight sim using my game pass subscription because it goes through the windows store...

Every time I try to download I get the error 0x87E00005 and it just gives up. I can download literally anything else through the store but flight sim for some reason.

I've tried every troubleshooting step I could find on google to no avail...hence I'm now here.

Anyone got any ideas?

MS Flight Sim 2020. How to download

Hi Thanks for the reply.

I don't have the flight sim in my list of apps as I haven't been able to download it.

In my account in Microsoft store, my order history shows my order, and the fact that I paid £109.99. for the premier deluxe version of MS Flight Sim 2020.

I appreciate that it cannot be used until the 18th, but MS state that it can be downloaded (150GB) now, in readiness.

CANNOT LAUNCH FLIGHT SIM X

I understand that the Flight Sim X is not running after the first startup closed. We will help you.

• What is the make and model of your PC?

I suggest you to update graphics drivers
and check if the same issue persists.

• Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Search for Display Adapters and expand it.
• Right click on the graphics driver
  and select Update driver software.
• Restart the System and check opening the application again.

If the above steps do not work, then I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the game. They would assist you better with the issue.
