Windows 10: Windows Store and some apps crashing and Explorer Search not working

After I updated Windows recently, a new weather icon showed on the taskbar and this is fine but now whenever I hover over that, try to go into an app's entry in the Windows Store, or try to launch certain apps like News, the app itself instantly closes presuming a crash but not seeing errors from it. Also my Windows Explorer Search, nor taskbar search work currently. I click inside the box, a cursor shows up for a very brief amount of time then it disappears and returns to default. I originally figured it was just Windows Store issue since I didn't see the other issues so I did run WSReset b

File Explorer Search Not Working


I am trying to search in File Explorer (Windows Explorer, My Computer) and it will not find anything. I can copy text from a name in the list and paste it in the search box and it still finds nothing. I have looked at the suggestions that have been posted and nothing I find that is relative to this works. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running Win 10 Pro on an I3 coustom desktop computer.

To resolve this issue let us try the following steps:

• 
  Press Windows Key + R to open
  Run window.
  
• 
  Type wsreset.exe and press OK.
  
• 
  This will clear the Windows Store cache and the Windows Store would open automatically. Check if you are able to search in the store.
  

If the above does not work, then try the following step:

• 
  Open Cortana and type in the search keyword: Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  On the search results click on Troubleshooting at the top to open the Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on View All in the left hand panel.
  
• 
  Click on Windows Store Apps.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screens steps to reset the store apps.

APP STORE CRASH

I understand that Windows store crashes. We will assist you to resolve the issue.

This issue may arise when some of the Windows components or applications gets corrupted.

I would suggest you to try running Windows store app troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• 
  Type troubleshooting in the
  Search area on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Click on View all on the left panel of the Troubleshooting Windows.
  
• 
  Select Windows store Apps.
  
• 
  Follow the on screen instruction.
  

If the issue persists, Please follow the following steps:

• • Open the Task manager. Here’s a tip: Press CTRL+Shift+ESC.
  • Click File > Run New Task
  • Make sure you have a check mark beside “Create this task with administrative privileges”
  • Type Powershell
  • Type the following in the Powershell prompt:
    
    $manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest
  • Close the Powershell window
  • Reboot the computer and check if it helps.
