    Windows store background task 100% cpu


    Windows store background tasks runs CPU @ 100% and makes the machine unusable, How can i disable this task.

    wondows 10 (15063)

    HP ZBook 17 G3

    Intel i7 6820HQ

    32GB memory

    1TB ssd

    Background Task Host Excessive CPU Usage

    Tried the two steps like you said.

    1. On Safe Mode start, CPU was at 0%. No issues.

    2. Then on Clean Boot, the same problem was repeated. With RunTIme Broker and From Microsoft Background Task Host taking up atleast 50% CPU resources.

    Now I have it back to Normal mode start up. And yes, the problem still persists !

    Did this help in anyway..? Please do assist me further.

    Cortana Background Task Host

    cpu is using 100% usage after installing Itunes. cortana background task host is taking all the resources and running in the background. i tried uninstalling Itunes. My problem is solved. And also make sure disabling all cortana settings.
