  1. Windows Store Cache may be damage

Apps like Calculator will open and then close immediately. Microsoft edge does the same thing. So does some other apps.

I have run app troubleshooter and get the following: Windows Store Cache may be damaged

I have tried the Powershell solution and it worked temporarily and now it is back to not opening.

I have also tried resetting the store.

This is happening to a few of my apps including Microsoft edge. Eveything worked fine until an update come through. Unfortunately the computer has been like this for a while and I can't undo the update because I don't know which one caused the problem.

    Can someone please help??????

    :)

  2. Windows store cache is damaged

    Hi,

Damaged Windows Store cache may be due to several reasons. It is possible that before you ran the Windows App troubleshooter, Windows Store is already corrupted of needs to be updated.

To resolve your concern, we suggest that you restart your computer to normal startup to disable unnecessary apps that runs in the background of your computer while you are using it. This process will also reset your apps without losing data on your computer.

To restart your computer to normal startup, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows + R on the keyboard.
    • Type msconfig, and then click OK.
    • On the General tab,
click the Normal Startup, and then click OK.
    • When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Restart.

If you need further assistance, let us know.

    Hi Bill,

To help you with your concern, we recommend performing Windows Store Reset. Kindly follow the steps below:

How to Clear Store Cache for Default apps.

    • Press the Win+R keys to open the Run dialog.
    • Type WSReset.exe, and click/tap on OK.
Note: The WSReset tool resets the Windows Store without changing account settings or deleting installed apps.

    • The Store and a command prompt will
